Take a scenic drive along the Aspetuck Reservoir (look for deer along the way) and enjoy a country-style brunch at the Olde Blue Bird Inn. Very kid-friendly. Menu items change often and offer a variety of specials – think banana walnut pancakes and poached eggs, Canadian bacon and melted cheddar on an English muffin.

We visited earlier this year and ate at the Blue Bird Inn, it was delicious. We especially liked the coffee cake. Can you order this to be shipped or can we get the recipe? I cannot find their website. Will try to phone them.
