Trick or Treat on Safety Street
A parade of costumed kids (of all ages!), treats, smiling faces and much more can be enjoyed on Friday, October 30, from 2pm to 5pm, when local businesses once again offer a terrific fun and safe Halloween event.

We took our little one last year and she had a blast. By the end, she even understood that by lifting her pumpkin, people would put all sorts of goodies inside. Now that she’s 2 and a half, we anticipate lots of squeals, dancing and hand-clapping this Halloween.
Station Stop 2009 – Model Railroad Show Today
The 23rd Annual Model Railroad Show will be held at Fairfield Ludlowe High School from 10am to 4pm today. The show features Operating Displays, Dealer Tables, Railroad Memorabilia and Operation Lifesaver.

Princesses, Genies & Pirates…Oh My!
We encountered all of them and more on our visit to The Enchanted Castle at Burr Mansion.
Cinderella
Mrs. Potts from Beauty & the Beast
The Little Mermaid
The Genie from Aladdin
Capt. Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean
The Enchanted Castle is open until 10/31. There are six different themed rooms. The characters tell a short story in each room and every child gets a treat as they travel through the “castle.” It is a fun adventure for little ones (and I enjoyed it too!). Learn more at enchantedcastle.org.
