Trick or Treat on Safety Street

A parade of costumed kids (of all ages!), treats, smiling faces and much more can be enjoyed on Friday, October 30, from 2pm to 5pm, when local businesses once again offer a terrific fun and safe Halloween event.

We took our little one last year and she had a blast. By the end, she even understood that by lifting her pumpkin, people would put all sorts of goodies inside. Now that she’s 2 and a half, we anticipate lots of squeals, dancing and hand-clapping this Halloween.

Hope to see you trick or treating around town!

The Greatest Show on Earth

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® presents OVER THE TOP, a wacky and whimsical circus spectacular where dogs fly, Asian elephants skip, hop and groove and one courageous man stands eye-to-eye with a pack of powerful Bengal tigers. Circus Celebrities help rev-up the motorcycle madness featuring one cycle on a high wire and seven speeding riders in a Globe of Steel. Extraordinary aerial acts fill the arena sky with a rare double-decker trapeze and Chinese acrobats propelling through the air. And with the audience participation, this circus really goes OVER THE TOP.

Come one hour early to meet the animals and performers at the All Access pre-show – FREE to all ticketholders!

Show dates from Thursday, October 29 to Sunday, November 1 at Bridgeport Arena at Harbor Yard.

Princesses, Genies & Pirates…Oh My!

We encountered all of them and more on our visit to The Enchanted Castle at Burr Mansion.

The Enchanted Castle is open until 10/31. There are six different themed rooms. The characters tell a short story in each room and every child gets a treat as they travel through the “castle.” It is a fun adventure for little ones (and I enjoyed it too!). Learn more at enchantedcastle.org.
