The 19th Annual SeptemberFest is from Friday, September 14 through Sunday, September 16 on the church grounds, located at 545 Stratfield Road in Fairfield. It is the largest annual fundraiser for Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Hours of operation are Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. While admission is free, tickets must be purchased to go on the amusement rides. Wristband ride specials (wristband purchase required) will be available for unlimited rides on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The Junior Women’s Club of Fairfield’s fourth annual Touch-a-Truck fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday, September 16 (Raindate: September 23) from noon to 4 p.m. at Fairfield Ludlowe High School. At this family-friendly event, kids of all ages can hop into the driver’s seat of more than two dozen vehicles, refuel on popcorn, cotton candy, tacos, Italian ice and baked goodies, then make a pit-stop for any number of activities, including face painting, bounce houses, go-karts, a roaming railroad, music, a fun bus and a even a safari show.
