Annual Breakfast with Santa
The Welcome Club of Fairfield/Easton will host the Annual Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 4 from 10am to noon.
Greenfield Hill Congregational Church ~ Memorial Room
1045 Old Academy Road ~ Fairfield, CT
This is a wonderful event for the whole family to enjoy good food, friends and, of course, Santa himself! Bring the kids ready to partake in a special holiday craft and to take pictures with Jolly ol’ Saint Nick! Rob Staub of Rob Staub Photography will be on hand to photograph your children with Santa and offer custom prints and holiday cards.
The cost of this fun filled event is $10 per family.

The Mom’s Guide to Traveling with Kids
Just in time for families to start planning their holiday travels, local Fairfield mom and travel expert and agent, Allison Umbricht has released her second book, “The Mom’s Guide to Traveling with Kids” offering tips and tricks to make traveling with the family a breeze.
The Mom’s Guide is a mom-to-mom guide (dad and grandparents of course will benefit too!) that will empower you to have what you need to travel with your kids and have fun doing it. This 155-page book is jam-packed with tips and stories from the author and other frequent-flier moms. You will learn new ideas to use for every stage of your travels. Careful planning for each part of the trip will take you from thinking “Am I crazy?” to “That’s the best thing I ever did!”

Pinkberry Grand Opening

To commemorate the opening of the first Pinkberry location in Connecticut, there will be a town-wide celebration on Thursday, October 14, 6pm to 9pm, benefitting the Community Film Institute. All guests will receive a FREE sample of one of five distinctive Pinkberry flavors. Guests will have the opportunity to make a donation to Fairfield’s Community Film Institute. The first 100 guests in line will receive a complimentary Pinkberry T.

JWC’s Lazy Days of Summer Dinner
Enjoying the summer but looking ahead for ways to contribute to the community and meet new people? Then roll up your beach towel, toss aside your paperback and head to the Junior Women’s Club of Fairfield’s annual “Lazy Days of Summer Dinner,” scheduled at a member’s home for Wednesday, August 18 at 7:30 p.m.
With its casual backyard atmosphere and potluck charm, the lazy days dinner is the perfect chance to learn more about the JWC, a non-profit service organization whose activities include “A Visit to Santa’s House,” a Townwide Spelling Bee for fifth-graders and a kid-friendly “Touch-a-Truck” scheduled for September. Learn more about our mom and tot outings, book club and other social events. Bring a friend if you’d like, as well as a coloring book for our charitable partner, Brady’s Smile, a Fairfield-based organization that supports families with children who are in the PICU or NICU.

Easton Farm Tour

The Citizens for Easton (CFE) in Easton, Connecticut, will be hosting its 2nd Annual Easton Farm Tour on Saturday, August 14 from 10 am to 2pm. This free event begins at the Easton Firehouse Green, One Center Road, Easton, CT 06612. Here visitors pick up a copy of the Easton Farm Map which will serve as the road map and pass to events scheduled at participating farms.
Come and enjoy the many farming delights that Easton has to offer and learn where your food comes from. Kids enjoy pony rides, hayrides, petting zoo, and picking veggies and fruit fresh from the farm. Meander through photograph history of Easton and learn what farming was like 100 years from the Easton Historical Society. This year, Skinny Pines – an Easton-based purveyor of wood-fired pizzas – will be on site with their mobile wood-fired oven. Come have lunch on the green, listen to music and begin your tour.

Musical Wednesday
Peanut Butter Jam Session this afternoon, 12:30 on Sherman Green, featuring Roger Tincknell, who plays an array of instruments and his songs inspire singing, moving and dancing.
